We have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity right now to reform/re-form our society, to tweak it for the better. It’s a chance that probably won’t come again. So, let’s take advantage of this.
Some ideas:
1) We can let people out of prisons. Just open the doors and let them go. It will save their lives and we can re-form our “justice” system in a way that doesn’t repopulate these petri dishes in order to line the pockets of for-profit-prison owners (who, let’s face it, shouldn’t exist anyway).
2) We can take a serious look at who we pay, how much we pay them and why. Aren’t we all a little more appreciative of mailmen, cooks and garbagemen right now? Aren’t they doing more for our well-being than corporate vice presidents who come up with new ways to sell us stuff we don’t need?
3) Let’s scrap BOTH political parties. The nonsense over what should be a simple matter of just sending people money is crazy. Hey Republicans, you don’t need to put Trump’s name on everything and pay corporations every chance you get. Hey Democrats, you don’t need to tack on social justice provisions on everything. Just send checks.
Those are just a few ideas. I’m sure there are many, many more. Write in and share your ideas for making this a better world. Now is the time for thinking big.
